I’ve been Bass and Crappie fishing since I was 8 years old and here I am now still enjoying them both. The difference now is I make a living teaching a sport that I grew up loving my whole life. I bought my first Bass Boat in ‘83 and bought my first tournament Bass Boat in ‘89 and started fishing different tournament trails all over the south. This kind of experience led me to where I am now, a full time USCG licensed Fishing Guide. Now I have the opportunity to show my clients, young and old, the skills and patterns of Bass and Crappie fishing. The most fun part of this job is I get to do my guide business on 2 of the best well known lakes in the country, Lake Guntersville and Lake Chickamauga. I’ve always been able to call lake Guntersville my “home lake”, due to the fact this was the lake that I grew up on and I’ve seen this lake go through every change imaginable throughout my life. I started fishing Lake Chickamauga in ‘89 when I started my tournament fishing career and still enjoy this lake today. My main objective from guiding over 20 years now, is to not only put my clients on some fun Bass and Crappie fishing, but also to have a blast of a time doing so. My clients and I not only find fishing to be fun, but also very therapeutic. This has shown with so many of my returning clients that have commented on the therapeutic side of fishing and being able to enjoy the camaraderie that comes along with a day on the lake.
